I hung this by the back gate since the receiver just plugs into an outlet with no batteries to deal with. The 1300 foot range actually holds up across my yard, and I can hear the chime clearly from inside the house.

The RGB light ring is actually useful at night when I'm not wearing my glasses, and the 1300 ft range reaches my detached garage with no trouble. I left it on the middle volume setting and it's plenty loud without being obnoxious.

I installed this in my classroom and the 1300-foot range covers the entire building easily. Having 60 chime options means I can pick something that won't blend in with the school bells.
