Mounted the sensor on my fence post and had it working in about five minutes since it comes pre-paired. The 36 melody options are overkill for me, but I set it to a simple chime at volume 3 and it carries all the way to my back bedroom. No false alarms from the neighbor's cat so far.

The solar panel means I never have to remember batteries, which is the whole reason I bought this over a plug-in unit. The chime is loud enough to hear from my back bedroom, and I like that I can pick from the 36 melodies so it doesn't sound like every other alarm on the street.

Setting this up took maybe ten minutes since the sensor and receiver were already paired out of the box. The 2600ft range actually holds up — it picks up cars pulling into my driveway from the house, and I like that I can turn the volume down at night.
